It’s a “Take The Time” Day
LORD, WE PRAISE YOU AND THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT OF TIME. AMEN.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live
(Ecclesiastes3:1, 12 NIV)
So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12 NIV)
Most of us spend each day wasting time. But we must use the time for the things that outlast time, and we must take time before time takes us. You see, he who kills time commits suicide. So beloved I say to you today:
Take time to work – it is the price of success.
Take time to think – it is the source of power.
Take time to play – it is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to read – it is the foundation of wisdom.
Take time to dream – it is hitching one’s wagon to a star.
Take time to love and be loved – it is the privilege of being a creation of God.
Take time to live – it is one of the secrets of success.
Take time for friendship – it is a source of happiness.
Take time to laugh – it helps lift life’s load.
Take time to worship – it is the highway of reverence.
Take time to pray – it helps to bring God near, and washes the dust of earth from our eyes.
Take time to be Holy – for, without Holiness, no man shall see The Lord.
Take time for God – it is life’s only lasting investment.
Finally, remember The Good Lord wants our precious time, not our spare time. So I ask you today what are you doing with your time?
