It’s a “Step Out In Faith” Day
LORD, GIVE US THE FAITH TO STEP OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE AND MAKE THE CHANGES WE WANT IN OUR LIVES AND SEEK THE DESIRES OF OUR HEART. Amen.
In October 2013, I quit my job of 22 years to step out on faith and do something different. I wasn’t happy, and I would pray every day: “Lord, please help me find a new job.” Finally, with a little push from the company, I came to the realization that sometimes when you want to change a situation, you have to take the first step and let God take the rest. That’s why the old folks would say: “You take one step, and God will take two.”
I went through a few years of ups and downs but through it all, I never missed a meal, and I paid all my bills. This experience has given me a testimony, and I know what it means when the old folks say: “He will provide.” I’m happy to report that I am now the Director of Anger Management Services for the Chester Community Charter Schools. I If I had never stepped out on faith I would still be on my old job, in my old office feeling miserable.
Yes, today I can say I’m happy, and I give God all the glory and all the praise. Because of this leap of faith I have learned to depend on God and not a man or a system and my faith has made me successful. If we are to have success in our life, we must resign our will and turn it over to the will of God. As a friend of mine says: “If it looks or sounds crazy it’s God speaking to your faith.” As the saying goes “Let go and let God!” If He did it for me, He will do it for you. As that songwriter said: “Tis no secret what God can do. What He’s done for others He will do for you!”
Remember He can handle all your situations, and He can handle them better than you or I. So surrender all to Him and let Him have His way, and you will find that you are more than a conqueror. All you need is faith and belief. The question is, do you have the faith to believe? Do you?
