TAKE TIME TO PRAY

May 31st
It’s a “Take Time To Pray” Day.

THANK YOU GOD, FOR WAKING US UP AND ALLOWING US TO SEE ANOTHER DAY. AMEN.

Today I want to share with you a poem by an unknown author that I think all of us can relate to. It’s called:

“THE DIFFERENCE.”

I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn’t take time to pray.

Problems just tumbling about me,
And heavier came each task;
“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered.
He answered: “You didn’t ask.”
I wanted to see joy and beauty~
But the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me,
He said: “But you didn’t seek.”
I tried to come into God’s presence,
I used all my keys at the lock
God gently and lovingly chided:
“My child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning
And paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:7-11 NIV)
