It’s a “Letter From Heaven” Day
LORD, WE SEEK YOUR COMFORT AND YOUR PEACE. BLESS US AS WE WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH. AMEN
Being a minister, a police chaplain, a fraternal and community leader as well as one who is actively on social media sites, I usually hear about the death of somebody’s loved one every day. In fact, I believe that there is someone reading this message right now whose heart is broken, their mind is troubled, and their eyes are filled with tears because God has called somebody close to them home. Here is a sweet poem that I ran across whose author is unknown. I pray it will sooth the soul and spirit of those who are broken-hearted. It is entitled:
“A Letter From Heaven”
When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see.
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today while thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time you think of me. I know you’ll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.”
