It’s a “Prescription for Worship” Day
LORD, HELP US TO WORSHIP YOU IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH. AMEN.
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” (Psalms 100:1-5 KJV)
Enter your place of worship a little before the service begins. Enter expectantly. God has promised to meet you there. Whisper a prayer.
When the first hymn is announced, open up your heart and be ready to sing. If you cannot sing, follow the words.
Bow your head and close your eyes during the prayer.
As you give, during the collection, pray that God will accept your gift. Be cheerful as you give and don’t be stingy or cheap with God.
During the special sermonic hymn, be attentive and prayerful.
When your Pastor is preaching, pray for him or her and listen attentively. Support the message with your amens and the spirit of praise.
