It’s a “Worship Our God” Day.
O GOD WE WORSHIP YOU WITH OUR TOTAL BEING. WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF OUR HEART, MIND, AND SOUL. WE JUST WANT TO THANK YOU. AMEN.
Sunday was July 3rd, and you should have gotten up and went to church. Now I know some of you are saying: “Rev it was a holiday weekend, and I stayed home.” Even though it’s summer we still need to go to church, but go for the right reason. You see somebody goes to church to take a walk. Somebody goes to church to laugh and talk. Somebody is going to church today to meet a friend. Somebody goes to church to spend some time. Somebody goes to church to meet a lover. Somebody goes to church for a fault to cover. Somebody goes to church for speculation. Somebody goes to church for observation. Somebody goes to church just to doze and nod.
But I believe a true Christian goes to church:
Because going to church will help us prepare for the responsibilities of the week.
Because going to church will rekindle our spiritual fire.
Because going to church affords us the opportunity of expressing our thanks.
Because going to church gives us companionship with other believers.
Because going to church makes our lives witnesses of our faith.
Most of all going to church let’s us worship God in Spirit and in Truth together. That’s right, worship God. Our God, who woke us up this morning. Our God, who started us on our way. Our God, who gave us His grace and His mercy. So you need to be like James Brown and ‘Get Up, Get On Up’. Yes, get up and get on your way to God’s house next Sunday. You see, in your Father’s house, you will find love, peace, and happiness. O Beloved, I don’t know about you, but I try to go to church to Praise Our Daddy every Sunday. Can You Dig It?
