BIBLICAL MATHEMATICS

December 10th

It’s a “Biblical Mathematics” Day.

LORD, TEACH US TO NUMBER OUR DAYS THAT WE MAY APPLY OUR HEARTS UNTO WISDOM. AMEN.

There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament for a total of 66 books in the Bible.

There are 929 chapters in the Old Testament and 260 chapters in the New Testament for a total of 1189 chapters in the Bible.

There are 33,214 verses in the Old Testament and 7959 verses in the New Testament for a total of 41,173 verses in the Bible.

There are 593,393 words in the Old Testament and 181,253 words in the New Testament for a total of 774,746 words in the Bible.

There are 2,738,100 letters in the Old Testament and 838,380 letters in the New Testament for a total of 3,566,480 letters in the Bible.

The shortest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 117.

Ezra 7:21 is the only verse in the Bible that has all the letters of the alphabet except the letter “J”.

Esther 8:9 is the longest verse in the Bible.

John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the Bible.

If you take the 41,173 verses in the Bible and divide them in half you would have 20,586 in the Old Testament, and 20,586 in the New Testament and that would bring us to the central verse of the Bible which is Psalms 118:8 and it says: “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” (Psalms 118:8 KJV)

So who are you trusting and counting on?
