It’s a “Doing God’s Work” Day
LORD, HELP US TO FIND JOY AND REWARD IN DOING YOUR WILL AND YOUR WORK AND MAY WE BE SATISFIED WITH HOW YOU PAY US. AMEN.
He who does God’s work will get God’s pay,
However long may seem the day,
However weary may be the way;
He who does God’s work will get God’s pay.
He does not pay as others pay,
In gold or land or raiment gay;
In goods that vanish and decay;
But God in wisdom knows a way,
And that is sure, let come what may,
Yes if you do God’s work you will get God’s pay.
I can’t speak for you, but I’m on my way,
To do God’s work, to get God’s pay and I’m happy about it.
